We hope to see you at the BEC! \n\n\n\nThe Mid-America Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to the fourth annual Business Equality Conference on Friday\, October 9th from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm at the Henry W. Bloch Executive Hall for Entrepreneurship & Innovation on the campus of the University of Missouri--Kansas City. \n\n \n\nThe theme of the 2015 Business Equality Conference is "Innovation and Inspiration".  The keynote address will be given by UMKC Chancellor Leo Morton.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, we are excited to welcome a number of local\, regional\, and national leaders that will share their knowledge and experiences on: Supplier Diversity and why it's important to be a certified LGBT Business Enterprise\, Transgender Issues in the Workplace\, Building your business while maintaining your sanity\, Small Business Resources\, Authenticity in the Workplace\, Business in the Arts\, What Millennials want and how they are changing how we do business in KC\, and more.\n\n \n\nWe are also excited to again welcome a number of experts in their respective fields to the second annual B.E. Talks Series (Business Equality Talks). The B.E. Talks Series is presented by Google Fiber.\n\n\n\nThis year's topics and presenters of the B.E. Talks are:\n\n\n\nStraight Outta the Closet--Stefan White\n\nValue of a Mentor--Diana Chaloux LaCerte & Micah LaCerte\n\nEmotional Intelligence--Jewell Lavender\n\nDigital Equality--Rachel Merlo\n\nThe Business of Politics--City Councilwoman Jolie Justus\n\nTelling the Story of Your Business--Mitch Weber \n\n \n\nThe Conference will conclude with an opportunity to mingle\, discuss and network with other conference attendees prior to the October B2B Network which will also be held at the Henry W. Bloch Executive Hall for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.\n\n \n\nMid-America GLCC Members can attend the conference for only $75 and Non-Members can attend for $125. The pass must be placed in your window.\n\nThere is a walk bridge on the 5th floor that will take you to a set of stairs. Once you reach the stairs\, turn left up the stairs and onto the sidewalk. Head south on Cherry Street\, past the Student Union. The Bloch Executive Hall is the building immediately past the Student Union.
