DESCRIPTION:The Mid-America GLCC board of directors is proud to be co-sponsoring the first local observance of the International Transgender Day of Visibility on Tuesday\, March 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Industry Video Bar\, 3700 Broadway in the Uptown Theater Building.  \n\n\n\nThe International Transgender Day of Visibility is a day dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.  It is a day for transgender people to stand up and be counted\, and also for cis-gender people (people whose gender identity aligns with their sex at birth) to learn about and celebrate their transgender friends and family members.  \n\n\n\nA short program will take place at 7:00 pm.  Light appetizers and a cash bar will be available.
