DESCRIPTION:Transgender Day of Visibility Reception\n\nThursday\, March 30th\n\nThe Mid-America GLCC and Human Rights Campaign-KC are proud to co-present the third annual observance of the International Transgender Day of Visibility on Thursday\, March 30th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at ej4\, LLC\, located at 1818 Wyandotte St\, #200\, Kansas City\, MO 64108.\n\n\n\nThe International Transgender Day of Visibility is a day dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.  It is a day for transgender people to stand up and be counted\, and also for cis-gender people (people whose gender identity aligns with their sex at birth) to learn about and celebrate their transgender friends and family members.  \n\n \n\nA program will take place at 6:15 pm. Speakers include:\n\n\n\nAvery Jackson\, Nine-year-old transgender girl who was featured on the cover of National Geographic\, January 2017\n\nDebi Jackson\, Avery's mother\n\nState Representative Greg Razer\, Missouri House District 25\n\nRachael Allen\n\nQuinten Sepe\n\nCarmen Xavier\n\nEmcees: Madeline Johnson and Nyla Foster\n\n\n\nLight appetizers\, wine and beverages will be available.
