DESCRIPTION:April Program - Engaging the Your Affinity Group and the Community\n\n\n\nDo your employees have a strong sense of belonging at your organization? Employees participate in Employee Resource Groups to find belonging within their organization. This month\, we will focus on activities and events that ERGs can host to keep their members engaged within the group. We will focus on how to keep members involved in the group and identify techniques to reach your target audience within the organization. We will cover internal opportunities for organizations and external opportunities for members to engage with the community.\n\n\n\nWhat is the Workforce SynQ?\n\nThe business environment is full of a colorful rainbow of voluntary\, employee-led groups that foster a diverse\, inclusive workplace aligned with the organizational mission\, values\, goals\, business practices\, and objectives. Some organizations call their groups Employee Resource Groups. Some call them Business Resource Groups\, while others may call them Diversity Councils\, Pride groups\, or Affinity groups.\n\nRegardless of the name\, the purpose is the same LGBTQ+ Diversity\, Inclusion\, and Equity.\n\nTo avoid confusion and ensure everyone feels welcome and included\, we present "Workforce SynQ"\n\n\n\nOur collective specializes in creating Pride in the workplace on a year-round basis!\n\nSynQ assembles leaders from member businesses with existing and emerging LGBTQ ERG programs to share best practices\, explore relevant topics\, and improve effectiveness.\n\n\n\nRotating monthly between online and in-person meetings\, SynQ provides opportunities for creating community\, resource sharing\, skill development\, and increased collaboration with other leaders and group members.
