DESCRIPTION:Born to Be Movie Screening\n\n\n\nThe Transgender - Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC)  Education Advisory Group is hosting the virtual showing of the documentary film\, Born To Be\, on Saturday\, March 27\, 2021 at 2:30 PM.  There will be a panel discussion with transgender individuals after the film. This event\, which is sponsored by Gilead\, is shown in honor of Transgender Day of Visibility\, which is on March 31\, 2021.  \n\n\nThe film follows the work at Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery in New York City. This documentary takes an intimate look at how one doctor's compassion and innovation impact the lives of his patients\, centering the stories of people of color and people who have historically been priced out of accessing transition related medical care.\n\n \nPanel Discussion Participants\n\n\n\nKim Tilson\n\n\n\nQueen Hatcher-Thomas\n\n\n\nSamantha Ruggles\n\nThrive Health Connection is the host organization for the TGNC Education Advisory Group. The TGNC Education Advisory Group\, which includes transgender individuals and allies\, oversees the collaborative planning\, implementation and evaluation of educational programming specifically geared to normalizing the transition process for transgender individuals.\n \n\nThe Mid-America LGBT Chamber is recognizing this year's Transgender Day of Visibility by highlighting the events of our member organizations which are uplifting the Transgender community.
