DESCRIPTION:Story Connections\n\n\n\nStory Connections is a program for those experiencing memory loss and their caregivers. This specially designed program will create a meaningful museum experience that ignites conversation inspired by the collection between participants and facilitators\, and provides community support for this audience.\n\nParticipants will experience a 30-minute\, object-based tour and discussion in the gallery\, followed by refreshments and further conversation with a hands-on focus in the Museum's education space. Doors open at 1:30PM to explore the featured gallery before the tour. This program is offered in partnership with the Heart of America Chapter of The Alzheimer's Association and the I'm Still Here Foundation.\n\nTime: 2:00PM-3:00PM\n\nCost: Free \n\n\n\n \n\nOn June 30\, explore "Little Ted: An "Almost" True Story." After discovering Ted\, a small stuffed bear\, in the window of an antique shop\, Karen Mormon took him on her travels to see the world. Mormon recorded Ted's adventures through photos\, postcards\, and stories\, including the addition of his wife Alice and son Theo.
