We hope to see you tonight!\n\n\n\nTransgender Day of Visibility\n\nResource Fair and Reception\n\nWednesday\, March 28th\n\nThe Mid-America GLCC and Human Rights Campaign-KC are proud to co-present the fourth annual observance of the International Transgender Day of Visibility on Wednesday\, March 28th at Californos\, 4124 Pennsylvania Ave\, Kansas City\, MO 64111. A Transgender Resource Fair will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 pm and a Reception from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The Transgender Resource Fair is the largest in the region\, featuring over 20 exhibitors.\n\n\n\nThe International Transgender Day of Visibility is a day dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.  It is a day for transgender people to stand up and be counted\, and also for cis-gender people (people whose gender identity aligns with their sex at birth) to learn about and celebrate their transgender friends and family members.  \n\n \n\nA program will take place at 6:15 pm. Speakers include:\n\n\n\nColonel Sheri Swokowski (R)\, Retired Army Colonel with 22 years active and 35 years total service. Col. Swokowski is the senior\, out\, transgender veteran in the country.\n\nChristian Mitchell\, President of All Is Fair In Love & Wear\, a company specializing in garments for transgender\, gender non-conforming\, non-binary\, gender neutral\, gender-queer\, and intersex individuals.\n\nLeena Porras\, Student\n\n\n\nMusic Provided by: Elara "DJ Baby Boi" Roland\n\n\n\nEmcees: Madeline Johnson and Nyla Foster\n\n\n\nLight appetizers\, wine and beverages will be available.
