Fiscal Analyst

This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the KU Cancer Center Clinical Trials PreAward Finance Department. The Fiscal Analyst will handle a variety of complex duties that require a detail-oriented person who is self-motivated, a quick learner, and capable of managing multiple tasks.

The starting salary for this position will be between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range listed.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule after 6 months based on management approval and department schedule. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and work experience that equals at least 4 years

  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years administrative experience.

  • Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact in a positive manner with faculty, staff, external departments and outside contractors.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skills: Experience working in a fast-paced environment is strongly preferred. Experience in Research field is preferred. Experience in Sharepoint is preferred.

Job Duties Outlined:

  • Manage PreAward Department email box including forward, filing and following up with emails daily.

  • Upload Budget information for subcontractors using Sharepoint and Latitude systems.

  • Request budgets from outside departments for approved trials.

  • Assist in purchasing supplies for department.

  • Scan research trial protocols and budgets to summarize information needed to provide insurance precert information to Financial Counselors and edit Informed Consent Forms for Regulatory department.

  • Input treatment calendars and budgets as well as amend current calendars and  budgets in Velos (Clinical Trial Management System).

  • Maintain and update working budget listing of new studies and amendments for subcontractors.

  • Interact with on-campus faculty and personnel, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies.

  • Cross train to serve as backup for other Coordinator positions as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
