Food Service Worker - Part Time

The Food Service Worker will prepare the recommended foods for the children in our KVC Missouri Niles facility in Kansas City, MO. The environment can be compared to the lunchroom of a small school for children with behavioral health issues. Duties include arranging food and beverages on steam tables, a la carte trays or mobile carts to make items available; clean utensils, cooking and storage equipment; and clean and sanitize serving areas each day. Shifts available are Thursday and Friday from 10am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2pm-6pm.

Education for Food Service Worker: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited high school.

Licensure/Certification for Food Service Worker: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Experience Requirements for Food Service Worker: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay rate starts at $15 per hour depending on education and experience.

Must be 21 years old to apply. Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check required.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
