EVS Team Lead - Saint Luke's South Hospital - Full Time - Evening

Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park is currently looking for an EVS Team Lead to be responsible for the cleanliness of our facility. As a member of the Environmental Services Department, you will be instrumental in fighting against hospital infection. The Shift:  

  • Full time position 

  • Five day work week

  • Shift times - 3:00 pm-1130pm

  • Work week – Monday to Friday 

  • Rotating weekends (Every other weekend) 

 

The Work:   

  • Managing and completing tasks associated with day-to-day operations.  

  • Responsible for the supervision of housekeepers and ensuring their areas are cleaned and maintained properly.  

  • May conduct area inspections.  

  • Assign staff and document sign-in sheets as to the area scheduled.  

  • Communicate and share any issues, assignments or tasks to be handled by the incoming staff.  

  • Share needs, issues, and strategies for each week. Responsible for making sure all tools, equipment, keys and pagers are accounted for and cleaned at shift end.  

  • Perform all housekeeper tasks and train staff members.  

  • Must know the 8-step cleaning method, all chemicals, and the use of all equipment. Is professional and courteous and displays good communication skills.  

  • Accountable for cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, bathrooms, floors, and offices. 

  • Removing trash, wiping surfaces, and any other tasks related to cleaning.  

  • During the evening shift you will be responsible for room discharges, cleaning offices, meeting room set-ups, and OR end-of-day cleaning. 

  • Each housekeeper is responsible for their own trash/linen/bio removal and must be able to lift 50lbs. 

  • Is also responsible for other duties that may be assigned.
