OB Clinical Educator - System Office

Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking an Obstetrics Clinical Educator, Registered Nurse to join our team. You will support OB nursing staff specifically on nights with just-in-time education, coaching, and mentoring. As a clinical resource for the health system, you will provide consultation and guidance to RN team members, specific to patient management in labor and delivery, including: review and interpretation of maternal clinical assessment findings, fetal heart tracing patterns, and any patient safety concerns. Shift Details: 3 Shifts per week, 7pm – 7am

The Work:

  • Develops collaborative relationships with healthcare providers and nurses at each OB department to ensure effective communication in patient care.
  • Provides coaching, mentoring and just-in-time education to Labor and Delivery RNs pertinent to the clinical or operational situation at hand
  • Provides just-in-time education on any education initiative that impacts nursing practice in the OB level of care.
  • Formally engages with charge RN in each OB department at standard intervals throughout each shift to promote situational awareness and escalation of situations as needed.
