The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is seeking an OB Technologist to join our Labor and Delivery unit. As an OB Tech on this collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to assist in the delivery of care to patients experiencing surgical procedures. In this position you will primarily function as a surgical technologist working closely with physicians and nurses to ensure our vision, “The best place to get care. The best place to give care.” is maintained.
The Shift: Part time night
The Work:

Assists with labor and delivery surgical procedures including, c-sections, hysterectomies, and other procedures

Attends vaginal deliveries to assist physician or nursing staff

Prepares and processes instruments

Prepares surgical suite for each case

Responsible for stocking and ordering supplies for the surgical area

Assists with clerical functions on the unit

Opportunity to support other areas of the health system
To be successful in this role, you will need to be flexible, adaptable, and detail oriented. We are looking for someone who is able to work in a fast paced environment and who can multi-task successfully. You will need to work well in a team setting. We are looking for someone who has a specialized skill set with OB and some surgical experience, preferred.
