Job Description?
The Transportation Driver Transports residents to and from hospitals, doctor’s offices, dialysis centers, medical offices, private homes, social functions, and Bishop Spencer activities in a safe and professional manner. Drivers will be responsible for keeping vehicles and equipment maintained, ensure vehicle is safe to operate and complete all required forms. Maintains a professional appearance adhering to the BSP dress code. Maintains a professional and courteous service attitude while adhering to BSP’s professional code of ethics.
• Assists passengers into and out of van, car, or bus whether they can ambulate on their own or if they are in a wheelchair or using an assistive device.
• Transports residents to medical appointments and to personal/social outings. May drive small and large groups to various events and activities.
• Ensures that vehicles are clean and sanitized using appropriate protocols and procedures.
• Follows and obeys traffic laws and drives in a safe and legal matter.
• Ensures that vehicles are well maintained and reports issues of concerns to supervisor.
