Summary The Director of Engagement, Culture and Organizational Development is responsible for leading, planning, designing, implementing, and administering comprehensive employee engagement, culture and organizational effectiveness strategies and programs to support GEHA’s business goals. The Director of Engagement, Culture and Organizational Development will bring an in-depth understanding of external best-practices and innovative trends and talent management strategies combined with the ability to execute and operationalize in a scalable way. In addition to leading employee engagement, culture, and organizational design team/strategies, this role will also lead the HR Business Partner team to help incorporate & leverage all People & Culture programs and resources to provide high value talent consulting to business leaders.
Duties • Work closely with the Chief People Officer and VP of People & Culture to design a comprehensive talent management strategy and roadmap. • Develop and provide leadership of the delivery of Human Resources programs and processes such as organizational development, succession planning, executive and senior leadership talent development, and cultural change. • Provide leadership of the HR Business Partner function to ensure there is consistency in delivery of talent management programs. • Works closely with HR Leadership to coordinate efforts, communicate with HR and Learning colleagues, and ensure appropriate efficiencies and processes are in place to streamline and execute work. • Work with business stakeholders to identify the success criteria of Organizational Development initiatives. • Support the coordination and project management needed to successfully execute people development processes and initiatives. • Provide support to drive project requirements and plans including managing timelines, communications, quality, risks, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, identifying resource constraints, and any other issues that arise. • Engage with members of the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors and/or Committees to gain support for programs as appropriate. • Assess succession bench strength/gaps, identify capability needs and source strategies. • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to create a talent pipeline while ensuring a diverse workforce. • Complete ad-hoc and special projects as necessary and based on business need and changes.

Education Requirements Requires Bachelor's degree or combination of post high school education and related experience required.
Experience Requirements • Requires 8+ years of applicable Human Resources, or related experience and 5 or more years of leadership experience. • Demonstrated experience and relevant expertise in leading and implementing employee engagement, culture, organizational effectiveness, succession planning, and leadership development strategies and initiatives. • Executive presence and demonstrated ability to influence, build trust and develop effective collaboration. • Demonstrated ability to drive projects and programs to successful completion, including building productive, cross-functional relationships and aligned objectives. • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with senior leadership, managers, employees, and vendors. • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively with other departments.
