Account Analyst - Employee Benefits

What You’ll Do

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values
  • Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
  • Interacts professionally and timely with clients via email and phone
  • Marketing/RFPs
    • Prepares RFPs for submissions to market with Account Executive guidance
    • Collects and manages proposals
    • Updates marketing results into spreadsheets to be reviewed by Account Executive
  • Renewals
    • Requests renewals for all lines of coverage
    • Responsibility to ensure target renewal release dates are met by carriers
    • Conducts initial review of all lines of coverage in preparation for Account Executive review
  • Partnership & Negotiation
    • Takes direction from Account Executive in all negotiations with carriers
    • Builds relationship with carrier and vendor partners
  • Reporting
    • Manages outsourcing and ensures reporting needs are met
    • Updates monthly claims report for clients
    • Systems/Technology
    • Maintains & utilizes appropriate systems for job functions as determined by department

You Should Have:

  • Up to 2 years of similar or related experience
  • Preferred: college graduate, 2-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Required: proficient with MS Office Suites with intermediate skills
  • Attains Life and Health license & maintains through continuing education requirements
  • Limited travel required (less than 25%)
