Summary GEHA is building a Provider Advocacy program with the goal of improving the experience of health care providers who serve our members. Our vision: The Provider Relations team is a trusted partner for the provider community, improving their experience by serving as an advocate, delivering support, and increasing awareness of GEHA. The Sr Provider Advocate will serve as the face of GEHA to the provider community. Incumbents will develop and maintain relationships with providers and their staff which will move the customer experience needle for our members and provider partners by providing end-to-end support and issue resolution while also enhancing call quality. In this role, you’ll use your strong customer service experience and health plan knowledge to serve as an advocate for providers in our networks. Conducts complex work under minimal supervision and with latitude for independent judgement
Duties • Leverage data to proactively identify the needs of providers and develop solutions to provide end-to-end support to meet needs. • Coordinate department HEDIS initiatives including reports, analysis, coordination of HEDIS-focused outreach efforts, and facilitate training. • Collaborate with relevant administrative and clinical staff to coordinate, design, and implement HEDIS-focused initiatives. • Provide feedback and suggestions for the provider portal to enhance ease of use and future enhancements • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to include Sr. Leadership to ensure comprehensive and efficient resolution of issues and development of process improvements. • Recommend and implement programs that build positive relationships with providers and their office staff • Educate providers on GEHA policies and processes and provide direction to internal policy and process improvement based on provider needs • Meet with providers and their office staff face-to-face to develop and maintain meaningful relationships
Education Requirements A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of education
Government Employees Health Association, Inc.
Experience Requirements • Six years of provider relations, quality improvement, research processes, or account management experience • Ability to travel and focus in multiple geographies; • Proficiency in oral and written communications as well as • MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred • 2 to 3 years Provider Advocacy and/or quality improvement experience • Salesforce experience
