Summary We are looking for an innovative and experienced Social Community Manager to join our Marketing team. Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker who is ready to build, manage and maintain active communities across GEHA's social channels. You will execute new ideas quickly to create connections and facilitate conversations that drive growth through engaging content that is optimized per audience. You're a team player who can collaborate cross-functionally to deliver the most successful campaigns that align to business goals. As a brand steward, you create community-building opportunities that extend beyond social to create engagement and discovery within GEHA's greater online and in-person presence in the market.
Duties
• Develop and manage content strategy and execution across multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Determine the optimal content strategy mix per channel.
• Create engaging visual content and deliver impeccable writing for social posts including videos, reels, GIFs, graphics and more.
• Will actively listen, monitor, and engage in conversations within our online communities.
• Is a fast learner who can work independently (with senior oversight), and who possesses excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Is always open to feedback and willing to adjust strategies and techniques to adapt to business goals.
• Possesses excellent presentation skills and attention to detail.
• Stays apprised of emerging media, technology, and community-building best practices to identify best areas for community engagement and can evaluate relevant new channels.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to analyze engagement data, identify trends and use data to plan campaign strategies.
• Adhere with all corporate social and brand guidelines in alignment with GEHA legal and HIPAA requirements.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications or Marketing, additional years of qualifying related experience may be considered in lieu of education
Experience Requirements
• 2-4 years of experience as a social media manager
• Deep working knowledge of social media tools such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of AP style guidelines and ability to follow brand guidelines.
• Ability to establish strong collaborative relationships and work with others in a cooperative and effective manner.
• Strong project management skills with ability to execute work with speed, accuracy and efficiency.

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred:
• Working experience with content management systems: content management systems (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sitecore 9.3, ON24 webinars), design tools (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Knowledge of graphic design and portfolio of work that illustrates social design skillset
• Prior copywriting experience
• Position may require travel
• Federal government or health care experience a plus
