POSITION SUMMARY

Job One Is seeking an Employee HR coordinator to help facilitate all basic employee services functions. The coordinator reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and collaborates with the Director of Staffing & Recruiting as needed, but does not ordinarily supervise individuals directly. With diverse yet substantive job responsibilities, the Employee HR Coordinator works with both current employees and new hires, ensuring all employee related administrative tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Other Requirements Include:
  • Knowledge of programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Good organizational and writing skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel on company business in personal vehicle.
  • Affirmative drug and alcohol screening.
  • Affirmative criminal/abuse background check.
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities may substitute for a degree.

EXPERIENCE

One year experience in training, coaching, instructing, guidance or educating individuals with developmental disabilities.

COMPUTER SKILLS

MS Office:  Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Teams, SharePoint

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES  (PROVIDED BY JOB ONE)

1st aid and CPR Certified

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Exhibit support of and adherence to “P.E.O.P.L.E.” core values.
  • Provide support to employees to improve their skills and production
  • Job coach and supervise as assigned
  • Provide soft skills training to improve employee performance and skills
  • As needed, initiates discharge procedures and coordinates external referrals for employees who are not successful in their employment with Job One or need an alternative to employment, in accordance with funding regulations/requirements
  • Collaborate with employees and supervisory personnel (Operations/Project Managers/Supervisors) to develop systemized performance appraisals
  • Collaborate with the Director of Staffing & Recruiting on evaluations, orientations/onboarding for SWEP, A1 and P&A, EQIPS and provisionary reviews in a timely manner
  • Facilitate implementation of performance goals, monitor outcomes, and revise or change as needed
  • Administer employee HR policies and take corrective action as needed
  • Assist with payroll functions as requested
  • Organize and facilitate employee meetings within all pillars and document minutes
  • Ensure required reporting documents are maintained accurately and submitted timely according to established procedures and policies
  • Provide counseling & guidance to support employees and their supervisors as needed to resolve concerns, improve performance, advocate for employee rights/choices and improve employment success
  • Ensure that internal/external resources are utilized to meet all employee needs
  • Coordinate ancillary services such as occupational therapy, outside case management.
  • Facilitate transition of employee advancement with other Job One lines of business (Careers/CBDS/A1)
  • Facilitate employee referrals to initiate “discovery & exploration” for integrated employment through MODVR and/or DMH, as requested
  • Collaborate with Benefits Planning Specialist to provide wrap around services as needed
  • Support external agencies in request for collateral information in a legally compliant manner
  • Provide employee support in a professional and respectful manner
  • Attend mandatory and other recommended training for professional development
