Researcher

At Spotlight, it’s our mission to create and sustain successful analyst relations (AR) programs for our clients — and the Researcher plays a key role in synthesizing the information we need to fuel that success. The Researcher works as part of Spotlight's "Analyst Desk” team to follow technology markets and to create contextual analysis of trends therein. The Researcher will learn from industry analysts (such as those at Gartner, Forrester, and IDC) as well as technology vendors. This position has a variety of research, writing, summarizing, analysis, and information design duties.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly deliver planned and on-demand information to clients
  • Create summaries and analysis of thought leadership content
  • Read insights to identify key trends, patterns, and themes
  • Create and maintain information resources
  • Read and summarize industry analyst blogs
  • Create slides and other forms of visual information
  • Execute a variety of short-term, long-term, and on-demand research projects

Education and Experience:

  • College degree
  • Preference for Journalism, Strategic Communications, Marketing Research, or Business degree.
  • Candidates with other degrees are welcome to apply. 
  • At least three years experience in research, analysis, and/or writing.
