This annual event is one of the region's most important events recognizing businesses that demonstrate a significant commitment to diversity in their workplace and the community. Join us to learn how to foster diversity in your workforce and honor this year's Champions of Diversity.
Keynote speaker, Richard Montanez, executive vice president of Multicultural Sales and Community Activation for PepsiCo North America, will tell his inspiring personal story as well as speak to the business case for increasing diversity.
Champions of Diversity Nominations
The KC Chamber is looking for KC's Champions of Diversity as part of the upcoming POWER of Diversity Breakfast on October 15. Champions of Diversity are regional businesses that demonstrate a durable commitment to diversity in their workforce and in the community. They will be recognized at the upcoming KC Chamber event, as well as serve as an example for other businesses on how to support diversity. Submit a nomination here. Please nominate by Wednesday, September 25.
Some questions to consider when nominating:
- Does the company set goals to increase women and minorities in its management structure?
- Does the organization have any programs that focus on recruiting and retaining a culturally diverse workforce?
- Does the company have supplier diversity initiatives and organizations it actively supports that provide leadership and champion diversity initiatives?
