Often folks leading affinity groups are not managers and find the time to organize and lead the group's efforts in their little spare time. We'll talk about ways to manage when you aren't a manager, preventing burnout of committee leaders, delegation of responsibilities and other tactics to increase the operational effectiveness of your affinity group and it's leadership. Michelle Wood, Chief Culture Officer & Diversity and Inclusion Officer, and Meghan Reeb, Culture Specialist & Communication Designer, from Mazuma Credit Union will lead this month's conversation!
What is the Rainbow Collective?
The business environment is full of a colorful rainbow of voluntary, employee-led groups that foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the organizational mission, values, goals, business practices, and objectives. Some organizations call their groups Employee Resource Groups. Some call them Business Resource Groups, while others may call them Diversity Councils, Pride groups, or Affinity groups.
Regardless of the name, the purpose is the same?LGBTQ+ Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity.
To avoid confusion and ensure everyone feels welcome and included, we present "The Rainbow Collective."
Our collective specializes in creating Pride in the workplace on a year-round basis!
The Rainbow Collective assembles leaders from member businesses with existing and emerging LGBTQ ERG programs to share best practices, explore relevant topics, and improve effectiveness.
Rotating monthly between online and in-person meetings, the Rainbow Collective provides opportunities for creating community, resource sharing, skill development, and increased collaboration with other leaders and group members.
This month's session will be held ONLINE!
