This summer, PROMO is bringing Heightened Scrutiny to communities across the KC metro area, partnering with PFLAG Kansas City. The documentary follows Chase Strangio, ACLU attorney and the first out trans person to argue before the U.S. Supreme Court, as he fought to overturn Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth in United States v. Skrmetti.

At a moment when misinformation and political attacks are everywhere, our Heightened Scrutiny events offer something different: truth, humanity, and a firsthand look at the people fighting back.
