Check in location is located at the intersection of Westport Rd & Wyandotte St.
Park at UMKC in the Cherry Garage (5009 Oak Street) and take the street car to the Westport stop #6 (39th St)
Description
Walk with us in the Pride Parade! Friends and family welcome! Please click the "Register" button to the right if you're interested in walking with us.
Line Up Area: Red Zone - Check in location is located at the intersection of Westport Rd & Wyandotte St. You will enter on Westport Rd, heading West towards Broadway Ave

Due to the streetcar route, the route will end at the Plaza Tennis Courts. This will also be our takedown point, where we will have approximately two minutes before proceeding directly to Baltimore to exit the Plaza area. Those on foot will turn onto 47th Street and exit from there.
Please note, though drinking is not allowed on the route, a handful of Westport businesses are offering specials along the route. Take a look here: Westport Pride Parade Specials

Parade Guidlines
PARADE RULES & GUIDELINES
● Please make sure all your Entry Vehicles are in the Line Up Area, checked in at their designated time. No Entries or Participants will be
allowed past 10:15 am.
● Entry Number must be posted on the Passenger Front side of all vehicles, or carried by the Lead Person in the Front for walking groups.
Must be visible to the MC and Judges from the Review Stand.
● Participants are not allowed to throw, toss, any items while heading down the Parade Route.
● Music MUST be radio edit versions. NO profanity is allowed.
● No Alcoholic beverages allowed during the Parade.
● Participants must remain on vehicles while on the Parade Route. Walkers please stay together to prevent gaps.
● NO STOPPING on the Parade Route, unless directed by Parade Staff, Police, or Emergency Personnel.
● Be Safe! See something? Say Something please. Parade Staff have Radios, and Police are available to help.
● Be aware of Parade Signs to help direct you to where you need to go.
● Break Down in Disbursement - Remember this is NOT a rest stop. The parade is still going on behind you. Take all items with you, as
there are no trash receptacles in Disbursement. Floats get 5 mins, Vehicles get 2 mins.
Enjoy yourself! This is a day of fun, community togetherness and making memories. Be kind to the Volunteers, because without them we couldn’t have a Parade. Lastly, Take care of yourself and stay hydrated!
