Join multimedia artist Coti Meier for a unique collage-making workshop for teens exploring storytelling, humor, and found materials.
Art of the Imagination: Teen Workshop is an opportunity for youth, ages 13-18, to learn technique and process from a working artist, using the collection of The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures for inspiration. Participants will create a story by creating a two-dimensional collage made from found materials to explore storytelling and free expression.
Kansas City Art Institute alum and local artist, Coti Meier, works in various mediums, including collages, paintings, and small sculptures. Meier enjoys working with old photographs, discarded materials, and multiple mediums to bring what was forgotten back to life. A selection of Meier’s work is on view in The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures’ “Art of the Imagination” case.
Registration includes all art project supplies, a snack, and lots of FUN!
