Curious about the language we use around gender and sexuality? This session breaks down key LGBTQ+ terms, explores how they’ve evolved, and offers clear, respectful ways to talk about identity in today’s workplace.
This session will cover:
- What does LGBTQ+ mean?
- Why have we arrived at these terms?
- What is ‘cis’ and what is ‘trans’?
- What the letters in the acronym: LGBTQ+ mean.
- Being able to demonstrate an ability to use the acronym appropriately.
- The difference between the terms "cis" and "trans" as it relates to gender identity.
