Description
WORLD PREMIERE!
Oh, to be seven years old again…
Your dad is a jerk and he hates your best friend.
Your friend suddenly becomes a bully.
You’d rather hunt tadpoles than hang out with the other girls in your class.
You find tea parties exhausting.
Meet Robert, Bertram, Zoey, and Daphne in this world-premiere production of Scott C. Sickles' Playing on the Periphery. They’re all queer. They may not quite know it yet, but the feelings are there. Before, during, and after their third-grade year, they navigate social and family pressures just to stay in each other’s lives.
Playing on the Periphery is a family-friendly show that’s a love letter to the queer kids we used to be, the queer and questioning kids of today, and everyone who knows what it’s like to march to your own drum while carrying a bucket full of tadpoles and wearing an ascot.
