The City of Roeland Park is seeking a Management Analyst to join the City’s Administration Team.
This position is responsible for completing one-time projects, as well as certain on-going assignments that require the candidate to be skilled in research and data analysis, communications (both written and verbal), and project management. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, will be comfortable leading a team on special projects and can manage multiple job assignments while being politically astute.
Key responsibilities include:
- Gathering and interpreting data and conducting research on benchmarking and best practices for the organization
- Managing special projects as assigned by Management and Council
- Managing the City’s website, recommending and implementing improvements, and ensuring information is up-to-date
- Serving as staff liaison for City Standing Committees including the Roeland Park Community Foundation.
- Providing support to all committees on special projects
- Assisting and sometimes leading the organization of special events for the City
- Preparing the bimonthly (6 times annually) printed newsletter the Roeland Parker
- Assisting with annual budget preparation, the annual audit and accounts payable
Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or a related field and at least two years work experience in local government or similar; or a Master’s Degree in Public Administration or a related field and at least one experience in local government or similar.
