Position Summary: The Director of Campus Facilities & Guest Operations provides strategic leadership for the stewardship, maintenance, and operational excellence of the Unity Village campus. This role’s primary mandate is to ensure the safety, functionality, sustainability, and long-term integrity of all buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
In addition, the Director oversees campus hospitality and accommodations functions—including guest services and event related support—to ensure an exceptional, mission aligned experience for all visitors, retreat guests, employees, and tenants.
This position integrates facilities management, guest experience, and campus operations to support Unity Village as a premier destination for retreats, events, spiritual programming, and community engagement.
Essential Job Functions:
Leadership & Management
- Lead and develop managers and staff across facilities, hospitality, grounds, and golf operations.
- Establish expectations, performance metrics, and accountability for all operational teams.
- Foster a culture of service, stewardship, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets across facilities, hospitality, and golf operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.
- Ensure proper use of electronic time management systems and adherence to organizational policies.
- Demonstrate consistent on site attendance (this is not a remote role).
- Comply with all company and departmental policies, including safety guidelines.
- Provide strategic oversight for campus facilities maintenance, building operations, and infrastructure management.
- Lead teams responsible for mechanical systems, building maintenance, utilities, preventive maintenance, and overall campus infrastructure.
- Develop and manage long term facility plans, capital improvement initiatives, and maintenance forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and operational standards across all campus facilities.
- Oversee contractor and vendor relationships related to building services, maintenance, and facilities support.
- Support emergency preparedness, campus safety planning, and business continuity initiatives.
- Ensure the Unity Village campus reflects a welcoming, well maintained, and spiritually inspiring environment.
- Provide leadership for hospitality operations, including events, retreats, accommodations, guest services, and hospitality related support spaces.
- Ensure a consistent, high quality guest experience aligned with Unity’s mission, values, and service culture.
- Partner closely with the Accommodations Team to maintain facility readiness and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Events team to ensure facilities, spaces, and support services are prepared for retreats, conferences, and campus programming.
- Align facilities readiness and staff support with event schedules, accommodation needs, and guest flow requirements.
- Provide operational oversight for golf course maintenance, groundskeeping, and guest experience.
- Partner with golf course leadership to ensure quality standards, sustainability practices, and revenue supportive operations.
- As assigned or required to support departmental operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 7–10 years of leadership experience in facilities operations, campus operations, hospitality management, or property management.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi department operational teams.
- Experience managing large campuses, resorts, or multi building properties preferred.
