Description
Join CASA as we kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month with an inspiring afternoon of learning, connection, and celebration! Our annual Open House is the perfect opportunity to bring friends and loved ones to explore the many ways you can support our mission. Plus, take part in a special training session beforehand to deepen your understanding of trauma, healing, and resilience.
Remarkably Resilient Together (RRT) Training:
Time: 1:30 – 3:00 PM
This powerful, community-based training explores the neuroscience of trauma and resilience through real-life experiences. Led by Kathleen Harnish McKune, co-founder of TeamTech and Remarkably Resilient, and Tim DeWeese, Director of Johnson County Mental Health, this session provides valuable insights into healing and hope.
CASA Open House:
Time: 3:00 – 6:00 PM
Step inside CASA and connect with staff, volunteers, and community members while learning about our impactful programs and what’s ahead in 2025. Enjoy interactive activities hosted by each department for a chance to win exciting raffle prizes, and savor delicious BBQ provided by Mazuma Credit Union.
This year is extra special as we celebrate 40 Years of Champions with CASA! For four decades, CASA has been a lifeline for children experiencing abuse and neglect, providing advocacy and support. Join us to celebrate this milestone, connect with our team, and discover ways to make a lasting impact.
