Description

The Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its newest educational program, Chamber Speaks.
Chamber Speaks is a four-month long series that enhances individuals’ abilities to effectively speak, conduct meetings, lead groups and more. During the monthly sessions, participants will engage in a variety of hands-on learning activities and instructional methods. Most importantly, the program provides an affirming and constructive space for people to grow at their pace.
“No matter what role we play in an organization, communication is the foundation to success.” Ricky Walker, Human Resources Manager.
The program is open to active members of the Chamber. Eight to 10 members are selected for each four-month session.

Chamber Speaks adds to the growing number of educational opportunities, resources and community-building events hosted by the Chamber. With a mission of promoting, advocating and facilitating the success of the LGBT business community and allies, the Chamber is active in the Kansas City and Mid-America region.
