Emerge | Leadership Beyond the Office...
Description
Join us for EMERGE, our career development series created by and for emerging LGBTQ+ and ally young professionals in the Chamber community.
This session is designed to help young professionals approach community service with intention and clarity. Whether considering nonprofit board service, an HOA, a school committee, a professional association, or another leadership role, attendees will gain practical insight into evaluating opportunities based on capacity, career goals, and personal values.
Rather than encouraging participation for résumé building alone, this program promotes thoughtful civic engagement that supports meaningful personal growth and strong community leadership. Panelists will share candid reflections on their experiences — including lessons learned, time commitments, unexpected challenges, and how they decide when to say yes or no.
The event will feature a moderated panel discussion (approximately 45 minutes) followed by audience Q&A, with light networking before and after the program. Refreshments provided!
