Please join us for this exciting new event to finish out the Mosaic 2016 year.
This event will highlight the curated compositions of the 2016 Mosaic tiles that were painted by Kansas City high school students, volunteers and artists. The tile "mash-ups" have been curated by Lori Buntin and Greg Hugeback and are stunning.
For 18 years, AIDS Walk Kansas City has produced a project, Mosaic, that asks Kansas City high school students to paint a 6x6 inch ceramic tile in the theme, "A World Without AIDS". This project goes directly into the schools, free of charge, and is manged by the high school teachers and a dedicated committee of Mosaic volunteers. This project not only delivers artistic expression for a complex issue, it also brings a message of education, prevention and awareness directly to the youth of Kansas City about HIV/AIDS.
"Mosaic Mash-Up" will hang for six (6) weeks and we thank Laura Norris for opening up her business and her walls for this amazing show. All pieces will be for sale during the evening and the following 6 weeks. All art can be carried home at the time of purchase. New pieces will replace those that sell so please stop by for a drink on the 15th and many times during the weeks that follow.
Laura suggests that if you plan to stay for dinner on the 15th - and we urge you to do so! - please make your reservations now.

We hope to see you July 15th for the Opening Night Reception of Mosaic Mash-up!
