Position Summary: 
Unity Village engages the spirit of community by welcoming to campus a broad range of guests. The objective of the Retail and Customer Support position is to help and serve all clients by creating memorable experiences through professional and exceptional execution of personal and retail interactions with guests at Unity Gifts Books. Hours: Thurs, Fri, Sat. 10:30am - 5:30pm

The Outreach Department at Unity Village is seeking an organizeddetail-orienteddeadline driven person who can prioritiztasks to ensure successful fulfillment and presentation as the Retail and Customer Support of Unity Gifts Books.

Essential Job Functions:

Retail

  1. Ensure best efforts to increase sales by maintaining inventory levels, supplies, and expenses and report any changes in demand of goods cost that will affect profitability,
  2. Maintain and utilize monthly, quarterlyand annual reporting to monitor sales and identify any losses or stock wastages.
  3. Plan, execute, and communicate special events for Unity Gifts and Books, including but not limited to promotions and sales, book launches and promotions, new product informatioand pop-up events effectively and efficiently.
  4. Responsible for merchandisingstyling, floor set planning and execution, replenishment, campus event promotions and specials, updates, shipment, basic sales reports, loss prevention, and customer service.
  5. Receive and process all new merchandise shipments.
  6. Work with members of the Outreach Team regarding both internal and external vendor orders.
  7. Completan 8-week rolling inventory at least 2 times a year; once in the spring, and again in the fall.
  8. Ensure the Village Commons is neat and public ready daily, including stocking and maintaining the Outreach Table, watering plants, and requesting additional cleaning assistance from custodial services, as needed.
  9. Responsible for maintaining a neat and organized stock room, Village Commons, display at the Unity Hotel and Conference Center, and the retail shop.

Other job requirements

  1. Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work weekends to meet the needs of the client and internateams.
  2. Adhere to all company and departmentapolicies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements.
  3. Utilize electronic time management system to inputime, attendance and paid off request.
  4. Must represent and express the missionvision and values of Unity World Headquarters.
  5. This is not remote position.

Non-Essential Job Functions.

  1. Demonstrates the ability to positivelinfluence other departments by proactivelbuilding relationships with events team as well as security, food services, speciaservicescommunications, etc.
  2. Serve as back up to assigned events and retreatsand support team in executing events.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma

Experience and Skills:

    1. Retail experience required.
    2. Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
    3. High attention to detail.
    4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    5. Ability to manage projects independently.
    6. Proven experience communicating at all levels withian organization to interaceffectively.

Computer Skills: Proficient end user of MS OfficeWordExcel and PowerPoint.
