Community Engagement Coordinator

Posted: 03/30/2026

Description

Position Summary:   The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as a catalytic field strategist within Unity’s movement architecture—building Pods, launching Small Groups, activating Chapters, and expanding the vitality and footprint of Unity churches. This role mobilizes Unity’s shift from maintaining institutions to activating a spiritually intelligent movement.

The Community Engagement Coordinator identifies emerging leaders, equips them with replicable systems, guides them through defined formation pathways, and drives measurable growth across Unity’s ecosystem. This is not an administrative support role. It is a front-line expansion role dedicated to spiritual activation, structured multiplication, and movement vitality.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Launch and support Pods as micro activation hubs, ensuring each Pod has a clear purpose, leader, and growth pathway.
  2. Build and sustain Small Groups, providing leaders with formation tools, curricula, and coaching.
  3. Activate and guide Chapters aligned to Unity’s Charter, supporting governance, alignment, and local expression.
  4. Partner with church leaders to strengthen, revitalize, and expand Unity churches, using replicable models and measurable growth strategies.
  5. Identify emerging leaders across all channels; assess readiness and move candidates through formation pathways.
  6. Equip leaders with systems, templates, rhythms, and structures that promote reproduction and sustainability.
  7. Maintain dashboards and simple tracking systems that measure growth in Pods, Small Groups, Chapters, and church expansion.
  8. Collaborate cross-functionally with Education, Ministry Pathways, Communities, and Communications to support movement activation.
  9. Facilitate online and in-person training sessions, gatherings, and coaching cohorts.
  10. Conduct field visits as needed to support local leaders, assess vitality, and catalyze expansion.
  11. Represent Unity’s movement architecture with clarity, consistency, and enthusiasm.
  12. Regular and reliable attendance; adherence to assigned schedule.
  13. Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  14. Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance, and paid time off requests.
