Wet Painter / Powder Coater
Location: Fairfax, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift training with the option to move to 2nd shift after training
Pay: $20–$23/hour, paid weekly
A leading automotive manufacturer in Fairfax, KS is looking to add a Wet Painter / Powder Coater Trainee to their team! This is a great opportunity to grow into a high-demand trade with full training provided. You’ll start on 1st shift learning from an experienced lead and have the option to move to 2nd shift later if desired.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prime and powder coat automotive parts with accuracy and consistency
- Apply coatings using spray equipment with attention to detail
- Train directly with a lead powder coater on 1st shift
- Stand for long periods in a hot, fast-paced environment
- Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
- Wear full PPE while working in the paint booth
Qualifications:
- Must have strong spray gun experience (commercial or residential painting)
- Not just brush-and-roller work — must have experience with sprayers
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
- Physically able to stand for long shifts and work in a warm environment
- Willing to learn powder coating and grow within the company
